Book publisher Random House of Canada recently signed on with Bullfrog Power. The publisher distributes some of Canada’s most well read environmental books including The Upside of Down by Thomas Homer-Dixon, Heat by George Monbiot, The Geography of Hope by Chris Turner and Ecoholic by Adria Vasil.
Sustainable House
The Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) and Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA) are almost finished a blitz build of a model home that will showcase the best in conservation and sustainable technology while incorporating cutting-edge energy efficiency measures. When completed, the house will be open to the public for tours and conferences.

On Sunday, October 19, 2008, John Wilson, Bullfrog’s VP of Operations, will give educational tours at his home near Hockley Valley, Ontario. Wilson’s natural home is a model of sustainability, incorporating passive solar, wind power, a green roof, straw bale insulation and active solar. Each year many people attend the event to learn more about going green at home.

BLJC, a real estate management services organization, announced its bullfrogpowered status at its annual company picnic in July. Gord Hicks, President of BLJC, spoke about promoting the concept of the ‘living building’ within its real estate portfolios as part of its focus on Corporate Social Responsibility.
