Toronto, ON—Today, Bullfrog Power, Canada’s leading green energy provider, is announcing that CDP, formerly Carbon Disclosure Project, the not-for-profit organization that houses the world’s largest collection of self-disclosed corporate environmental data and founder of the global disclosure platform, has accredited Bullfrog Power as its first Canada-focused renewable energy partner. For more than a decade, Bullfrog Power has provided homes and businesses across Canada with a renewable energy option, helping them to reduce their environmental impact and support the development of community-based renewable energy projects.
“Bullfrog Power has long been the leader when it comes to renewable energy in Canada,” said Ron Seftel, CEO, Bullfrog Power. “Becoming an accredited solutions provider with CDP demonstrates that our comprehensive green energy solution remains the highest quality option for businesses in Canada wanting to lead the transition to the low-carbon economy.”
The full suite of Bullfrog’s renewable energy products – green electricity, green natural gas and green fuel – make it the only company that gives any organization the ability to address all three scopes of that organization’s emissions footprint (Learn more about Bullfrog’s 3-scope solution for business).
“Since 2005, BMO Financial Group has been a signatory and responder to CDP’s climate change disclosure request as part of our commitment to environmental performance and public accountability,” said Jim Johnston, Director, Environmental Sustainability & Compliance, BMO Financial Group. “The partnership between Bullfrog Power and CDP brings together two of BMO’s key partners in reliably and transparently reducing and reporting on our operational footprint.”
“Companies that choose to disclose their emissions using CDP’s guidelines need to have reputable choices when it comes to reducing the impact of the energy they consume,” said Paul Robins, Head of Partnerships at CDP. “With Bullfrog Power, CDP now has a collaborator focusing exclusively on the Canadian market with a renewable energy solution for businesses looking to reduce their environmental impact and support the development of new, community-based renewable energy projects across Canada.”
In addition to its partnership with CDP, Bullfrog Power counts WWF-Canada, David Suzuki Foundation, Pembina Institute and more among the bullfrogpowered nonprofits that support the work that the company is doing. Today, more than 50 environmental and health groups not only support Bullfrog, but also choose Bullfrog’s green energy for their own facilities. In addition, Bullfrog Power is an accredited B Corporation that is regularly named to B Labs’ “Best for the World” lists.
