Green electricity source

Sometimes it takes a village to raise a turbine—and that’s exactly how locals in Ellershouse, Nova Scotia, came together to launch the first independent wind farm in the province. Bullfrog Power partnered with the Towns of Antigonish, Berwick and Mahone Bay, as well as energy developer Minas Energy, to help launch the four-turbine project. In 2017, Ellershouse Wind Farm added three new turbines to the existing project, and three more again in 2018, bringing the total to ten Enercon E-92 wind turbines with a combined capacity of 23.5 megawatts.
