The Bullfrog community provided funding for a 385-panel solar rooftop on the Haida Heritage Centre in Haida Gwaii, B.C. The Centre, a blend of modern architecture and traditional Haida design, was intended to resemble the traditional Oceanside Haida village that once stood in its place.

The 100 kW solar project will offset the Centre’s electricity use and reduce the community’s reliance on fossil fuels for electricity.

About our community projects

Activists and organizers across the country are working to transition their communities away from fossil fuels. We created our community-based green energy projects grant to provide critical funding for these local efforts.

All bullfrogpowered customers help fund these small-scale, community-led projects, including solar panels on schools and in Indigenous communities, education and training programs, and a cleantech accelerator.
