With support from Bullfrog PowerKitchener-based LIFE Co-operative is giving residents in Waterloo Region the power to help develop community solar projects. Established in 2006 and currently consisting of more than 400 members and 18 solar projects throughout the region, including Mapleton’s Dairy, the co-op is becoming a diversified renewable energy developer embarking on its first wind project. Bullfrog Power provided financial support during the critical early stages of development for the projects.

About our community projects

Activists and organizers across the country are working to transition their communities away from fossil fuels. We created our community-based green energy projects grant to provide critical funding for these local efforts.

All bullfrogpowered customers help fund these small-scale, community-led projects, including solar panels on schools and in Indigenous communities, education and training programs, and a cleantech accelerator.
