Solar | Community project we're supporting

This 149 kW DC system is mounted on the roof of Arnieā€™s Food Services in an industrial area of Ottawa. Panels provided by Canadian Solar cover 25,000-square-feet of rooftop space overlooking a serene park and church. The Michael Street Project has been producing 100% clean solar electricity since September 2013.

About our community projects

Activists and organizers across the country are working to transition their communities away from fossil fuels. We created our community-based green energy projects grant to provide critical funding for these local efforts.

All bullfrogpowered customers help fund these small-scale, community-led projects, including solar panels on schools and in Indigenous communities, education and training programs, and a cleantech accelerator.

The West Cape Wind Farm is Prince Edward Island's largest wind farm. Situated near O'Leary, the farm has a total of 55 turbines with a capacity of 99 MW--and is capable of powering approximately 25,000 homes annually!
