Partner: Carleton University, Faculty of Engineering and Design

Architecture and engineering students at Carleton University are seizing the opportunity to advance sustainable living with the Northern Nomad, a “Tiny House” project in Ottawa. Tiny Houses are autonomous, off-grid homes that aim to produce a minimal or net-zero carbon footprint. When completed, the Northern Nomad will showcase a variety of renewable technologies, including a 14-panel solar roof and lithium-ion battery for storage. Bullfrog Power is a sponsor of the project.

About our community projects

Activists and organizers across the country are working to transition their communities away from fossil fuels. We created our community-based green energy projects grant to provide critical funding for these local efforts.

All bullfrogpowered customers help fund these small-scale, community-led projects, including solar panels on schools and in Indigenous communities, education and training programs, and a cleantech accelerator.
