We’re celebrating Canadian Environment Week by looking back on some of the community events and outreach initiatives we’ve been proud to take part in over the years. Although we’re first and foremost a sustainability solutions provider, we regularly get invited by our partners and customers to speak about the science and practical solutions to tackle the climate crisis. From schools and local festivals to corporate learning sessions and partner events, our team has had the opportunity to connect with people, share ideas, and learn from one another along the way.

For us, these conversations and interactions can spark curiosity, inspire new perspectives, and encourage more sustainable habits in everyday life. Since our early days, Bullfrog Power has believed that building awareness around renewable energy is an important part of transforming our energy systems. As we celebrate Canadian Environment Week, we’re revisiting a few memorable moments that reflect the power of community, conversation, and collective action.

Educational sessions: curiosity in action

In classrooms and educational spaces, our team spends time breaking down the basics of climate change and renewable energy. We’re always looking forward to engaging questions from our young audience and seeing the expressions of excitement to have learned something new. We’re creating a space for curiosity, ideas, and a hopeful sense of possibility in the next generation.

Whether we’re visiting students at The Toronto Heschel School and Holy Trinity High School, or taking part in hands-on learning at Canon Canada’s Environmental Education Days with students from local schools, these sessions create opportunities to spark conversations about sustainability and empower young people to see how their everyday actions can contribute to a cleaner future.

We also spend time out in the community, connecting with people interested in renewable energy and conservation initiatives. Getting the chance to also meet our customers face-to-face at these events is always a meaningful experience. Those quick chats have turned into some memorable moments while attending the Toronto Eco Fair, climbing alongside participants at the WWF Climb for Nature, and chatting with visitors during Doors Open Toronto at Billy Bishop Airport.

These interactions are all about conversation and connection. Learning about the different ways Canadians are trying to live more sustainably reminds us that positive change is happening every day.

Building understanding around renewable energy goes beyond just our customers. We’re privileged to be invited into corporate spaces to give renewable energy-themed lunch-and-learn sessions, where employees can ask questions, exchange ideas, and explore how renewable energy fits into everyday life and business operations. This dialogue creates opportunities to make sustainability feel more approachable, practical, and relevant.

From the day Bullfrog Power launched, education and awareness-building have been central to our mission. We believe it’s important to help communities understand that renewable energy isn’t just a concept for the future, but something that is economically and technologically feasible today.

That sense of connection often extends beyond the workplace and into everyday life. Throughout the year, we receive fun photos of families wearing Bullfrog Power t-shirts and baseball caps — and even the occasional pet joining in too.

All these interactions are a reminder that there’s a whole community of people making intentional choices to steer our world in a more sustainable direction.

This Canadian Environment Week, we’re celebrating the people who make up our communities, including students, businesses, neighbours, and families, and the shared care that moves us toward a cleaner, more sustainable future. Join us at our next community event, we’d love to connect and hear about your passion for sustainability.
