Halifax’s Garrison Brewing Co. celebrated its 20th birthday in June with its 3rd annual Backlot Bash. The summer party featured Canadian rockers (and green energy supporters) The Sheepdogs along with live music from other bands—and offered fare from gourmet food trucks as well as Garrison’s own craft beer and local cider.

Ellershouse Wind Farm nearly doubles in size

On June 29, Ellershouse Wind Farm in Nova Scotia unveiled three new wind turbines! The wind farm now has seven Enercon E-92 wind turbines operating with a total capacity of 16.1 megawatts—which is enough to power 4,900 Nova Scotian homes.
