It only takes a few clicks to sign up or get a quote for green energy. Your physical energy will come from your utility as usual.

Displace your emissions

We’ll put renewable energy onto the system on your behalf to displace the polluting energy you use.

Transform the grid

You’ll support new, clean energy sources like wind and solar farms, low-impact hydro projects, and green natural gas producers.

St Leon wind turbines
St. Leon Wind Farm
, ,
The St. Leon wind farm is a 99 MW project consisting of 63 turbines, each 80 metres high, equipped with three 41-metre blades. The wind farm is situated on the Pembina Escarpment, which rises above the surrounding plains, exposing the turbines to the prevailing prairie winds.
Wind turbine at Oldman River Wind Project
Oldman River Wind Project
, ,
The Oldman River Wind Project produces more than 10,000 MWh of green electricity annually — enough energy to power about 1,400 homes!

Burdett and Yellow Lake Solar Facility
, , ,
This facility is made up of two solar farms with a combined capacity of 39 MW. Located southwest of Medicine Hat, the Burdett and Yellow Lake Solar Facility is Canada’s eighth largest solar project.
Petites Bergeronnes Hydro project
Petites Bergeronnes Hydro
, ,
The Petites Bergeronnes Hydro Power Plant is a 4.2 MW low-impact hydro facility in Petites Bergeronnes, Quebec. This facility harnesses the power of the Petite Bergeronnes river, located in the Cote-Nord region of Quebec.

Our energy sources explained

Power-PurchaseAgreements-1

Green electricity

We offer the highest-quality renewable energy certificates (RECs) to help our customers maximize their carbon reductions and transform our energy systems.

  • We source exclusively from projects that meet or exceed the strictest environmental criteria, as defined by EcoLogo®.
  • We support the development of new wind, solar, and low-impact hydro projects by purchasing from EcoLogo new sources.
  • We promote renewables across Canada, including in carbon-intensive grids, by sourcing 50% of RECs from your region.

Green natural gas

We offer renewable thermal alternatives which help our customers address their heating emissions while reusing waste gas and diverting fossil fuel extraction.

  • Our green natural gas is sourced from gas emitted by decaying waste at landfill sites, preventing it from polluting the atmosphere.
  • Our green natural gas claims are verified by leading 3rd parties.
  • Leading environmental groups including WWF-Canada endorse this product.

Carbon offsets

Bullfrog Power can help mitigate your unavoidable emissions through the purchase of high-quality carbon offsets.

  • We choose offsets from ICROA-endorsed standards, ensuring that emission reductions achieved by carbon projects adhere to the highest-quality principles and processes.
  • All our offset projects have undergone rigorous due-diligence processes above and beyond the voluntary standards, ensuring that they are making a robust and verifiable climate impact.
  • We offer both international and North American offsets.
