Wind | Community project we're supporting

Partner: Sagkeeng First Nation

Located on the banks of Lake Winnipeg and the Winnipeg River, the Sagkeeng First Nation sees renewable energy as an investment in the community’s future. To explore the potential of using clean energy to power the community’s buildings, the Sagkeeng First Nation is partnering with Bullfrog Power to build a 5 kW wind turbine in the region.

About our community projects

Activists and organizers across the country are working to transition their communities away from fossil fuels. We created our community-based green energy projects grant to provide critical funding for these local efforts.

All bullfrogpowered customers help fund these small-scale, community-led projects, including solar panels on schools and in Indigenous communities, education and training programs, and a cleantech accelerator.
