RBC and Bullfrog Power
RBC has been choosing green energy with Bullfrog Power since 2005, displacing over 100,000 tonnes of CO2e in that time. Thatâs equivalent to taking more than 22,000 cars off the road for one year, or 49,000 hectares of forest growing for a year.
This partnership has grown over the years and in 2020, RBC and Bullfrog Power signed a power purchase agreement ("PPA") to support the construction of BluEarth Renewablesâ Burdett and Yellow Lake Solar Project in Alberta. The 39 MW project (pictured to the right) came online in May 2021, showcasing how PPAs can drive rapid renewable growth. This utility-scale solar installation produces enough renewable energy to power approximately 6,400 homes annually.
By bullfrogpowering your home, youâll shrink your carbon footprint and help bring new renewable energy projects to the grid. Youâll also help fund community-based green energy projects like solar panels for schools, nonprofits, and Indigenous communities.Â

Help a community project come to life
Activists and organizers across the country are working to transition their communities away from fossil fuels. We created our community-based green energy projects grant to provide critical funding for these local efforts.Â
All bullfrogpowered customers help fund these small-scale, community-led projects, including solar panels on schools and in Indigenous communities, education and training programs, and a cleantech accelerator.Â
